Today marks the creation of a club news site for the Bonneville Cycling Club. The purpose of this blog is to provide a forum for club members to hang out online and discuss the latest news and events, and in general just have a good time.

Last Tuesday night I attended a REI class instructed by Lou Melini on self supported tours. Cheryl Soshnik suggested the 15 club members doing her September So. Utah tour attend. I'm glad I was there. Lou had good, helpful information. It makes me even more excited for Cheryl's tour.
As I was leaving the class I visited with long time club member Dave Parmley. Dave asked if I rode the ULCER and I asked him the same question. He said "It was $55and the money didn't go to anything!". Dave said instead, on the same day, a group of 35 riders from Utah County did a 60 mile ride similar to the ULCER route. He said it was a great ride! He also said a big topic among the 35 riders was the same -- $55 and the money didn't go to anything. I know the board has announced ULCER donations going to a few organizations but because of poor communication, the 'perception' prior to the ride was that there was not a charitable group receiving ULCER funds.
